'Time Check' focuses on the message of not losing sight of the fact that despite the virtual standstill the worlds in, time keeps moving and we have to try and make the most of it. Sounds interesting? This Ottawa, Canada duo Wotts, bring you a HipHop, Synth Pop, with a little bit of Alternative Rock Pop, song to the world.
With a militant percussive stride to the HipHop beats, aggressive electronic guitar playing and synth piano notes throughout, this track gives you the chance to let go of your fears and worries, as this year 2020 has been hard for all of us.
At the beginning, Wotts do some laid back spoken words (kind of) then during the choruses their progressive strong, compact and quiet side to their vocals comes a live.
The bridge of the song has a slight melody change, which creates anticipation building up to the chorus, is the hook and a memorable instrumental part of the song, 'Time Check' shows their unique style and sound.
So what's next? Let's hope Wotts brings us songs that help us through this pandemic and beyond, because it's not always pop, dance and slow songs that can helps us through.
