US based rap artist and producer, WAV, gives us Alternative HipHop, showing us his talents and variety of musical styles. Don't you think of Lil Nas X when you hear his vocals? The blend of Folk, Electronic, Alternative and HipHop.
Acoustic guitar starts off, 'Hollywood' by WAV, with downtempo HipHop beats coming in after 8 seconds. Then deep sounding slow rap vocals bring depth to the track.
'Hollywood' creates emotion through sound rather than through technical wordplay and song structure.
This is the song you'll play at a young adults birthday party or at home, when you just want a track that reminds you how simple life can be.
WAV is just another rapper looking for more exposure, and later fame, who is quietly putting his music on Spotify etc and spreading the word. When it happens and the right exposure comes, then everyone will know of him and be excited about his music.
