Neontown- June
EDM and Electro-Pop duo Neontown debut their new track, June, which features heart felt drum beats and melody that supports their blend of gritty and smokey vocals. With acoustic guitar here and there and keyboard notes throughout, it entices you too listen more.
Naturally, the production is more all-rounded beginning of the pre-chorus, with piano chords and a few seconds later the soft beats speed up to heighten the impact of the song. Then boom, on the chorus, the drum beats with an EDM Electro-Pop layer return to support Neontown on the chorus.
As others have said "Citing The Chainsmokers, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Zedd and Marshmello as their biggest musical influences, Neontown’s distinctive sound is influenced by late 2000s pop music,
mixed with elements of contemporary electro-pop, dance and EDM."
Neontown said “The track is inspired by past personal experiences and it comes from a nostalgic place. During lockdown we had the chance to think about our lives a lot and put things into perspective and it was just great to remember old good carefree days and imagining what reliving those memories now will be like. We wrote it in summer, so we also felt like giving the song some really cool summer vibes, and
we think that ultimately it's a song that a lot of people can relate to.”
A very relaxed and laid back vibe, with memories, some emotions and fun times incorporated in the video. That's what we all need right now, right?
This is a pleasant enjoyable song and there are some nice moments, that contrast throughout the song, June.
