Hello, have you heard this new EP by Elina Filice and Claudia Crampton? It's a song you'd listen too when getting dressed, cooking or walking the dog (if you have an iPod but back in the day there was walkmans, remember? lol). Lying is a chilled out song to play when you're relaxing or need a break from life. This duo from Toronto, Canada bring you a laid back, Alternative Indie R&B, spoken word and rap track blending with some HipHop.
Lying is an emotive song by singer-songwriter, Elina Filice plus spoken word and rap artist, Claudia Crampton, who created a soulful number with beats that will get you to loosen up and unwind.
Starting off with jazz style electric guitar notes, then spoken word mixed with rapping comes along and the HipHop style beats gives you that calming gangsta feel.
To me it's more spoken word that is heard on this track but it's done so well and the fluidity and rhyming of words is brilliantly done by Claudia Crampton. She is the hook to this song. She elevates it and brings all the harmonies, instruments and gives it that edginess, whilst Elina Filice brings her smooth pop style vocals, which adds something unique to the mix.
