Her influences include Sade, Alicia Keys and Stevie Nicks, drawing on inspirations and combined influences, whilst owning her own brand. AZSH, who's from Kentucky, recorded with Latin multi-grammy nominated producer Luis “The Dro1dz” Salazar.
This Pop and Soul chorus gives you that "don't mess with me" vibe, with the simplistic funky beats and rhythms.
As she says "Having had the opportunity during the pandemic to disconnect and shift gears definitely inspired this song. When writing the hook, I imagined the back and forth process we often have in the studio. It’s like a collaboration that accelerates and gets better as it goes. I guess that’s how a good relationship goes too, and since I’ve found myself in my first happy/healthy relationship in 2020, I was happy to incorporate those feelings into this song."
