AJE (Ambient Jazz Ensemble)- Scars
Violins and cellos playing the bass notes start the song off, with female vocal that brings a lot of meaning to the lyrics, in 'Scars' song by AJE (Ambient Jazz Ensemble).
This Oxfordshire based Jazz composer, writer and owner of Here & Now Recordings, Colin Baldry, brings a multitude of musicians and artists, that give you a blend of instrumental, chillout, soulful urban jazz to your life, in his new EP.
The lead female vocalist stands on the right side, in the music studio, looking opposite the medium sized orchestra, drummer and pianist as they perform together. This track easily grabs your attention and steals your heart. I'm curious to know what effect this has on you, lol?

Other instruments include bass clarinets and saxaphones that linger in the background of this uplifting meaningful piece of music. It takes time to compose jazz music, so do listen to every layer of AJE's track.
AJE has a portfolio of accomplished achievements, including playing and producing for labels such as RCA, Motown, Virgin & Capitol Records, whilst arranging and conducting The BBC Concert Orchestra and The City Of Prague Philharmonic - he's even performed at parties hosted by The Rolling Stones! Radio support has also been significant, with the likes of Gilles Peterson, NTS and Jamie Cullum playing AJE's work on air.
This smooth contemporary twist on jazz and soul, with a cinematic landscape and the piano melodies intensifying, as it elevates the song throughout the bridge part and lingering cello long notes. play in the background.
