4Tunez- Melody

Updated: Oct 22, 2021

Afrobeats new heavyweight, 4Tunez, dropped his new single 'Melody' taken from the brand new EP 'Supernova'. The Nigerian singer-songwriter, poet, environmentalist and model Memeh Fortune, professionally known as 4Tunez, comes with his own Afro sound and brings it to the world... Fingers Crossed.

The appreciation for this genre has been shown hugely around the world and more and more young emerging artist are bringing their slice of the genre to the forefront. There's always space for more artists and DJs within the African space.

4Tunez, seems to be savvy about interjecting himself in whatever trend is happening now, but with his own style. That's what his EP front cover shows me.

Imagine this, 4Tunez is at a bar, leaning against the wall and a sexy looking curvy lady passes by. This is all happening at a London African inspired restaurant, bar and Afrobeat club.

He checks her out, gives her a smile and they get

closer to each other and start talking. You know where I'm going with this? At the end they exchange numbers and he thinks about her all night long. Well something like that lol lol.

The African pop scene has continued to influence many new artists and this guy is one of them.

4Tunez says, “I wrote Melody in 2020, and we brought it to life in 2021. It was one of the most difficult songs to make off the EP, it had three different versions and was rewritten several times. There were lots of contributions in the studio regarding song structure, mood etc, but int he end, we believe we chose the best energy for the song. It took about 3 hours to record the song, and just like most of my songs, it was recorded at night. The beat was created by LVaro and has that new Afro fusion sound.

Melody is that kind of song that you’ll love to dance to and vibe with at the same time. I wanted to be very creative with my story and I was also deliberate about every word I wrote when making this spectacular song. I got inspiration from all life experiences that concern love, fun and energy.”
