Elder Island (EP Feature & Review)

April 30, 2018

Last week I posted about Good Talk, Sere Eke, July Jones and now we are going to write about Bristol based trio Elder Island.

Knowing that they sold out their shows last year including a three-show mini tour across the UK, says a lot of positive things. One, having a lead singer sing with sweet and soulful tones flowing over multi-layered synths and beats makes all the difference. Two, having the opportunity to support Glass Animals on their European tour and perform at The Great Escape plus Lovebox Festival shows that they are a trio that connects to their audience and fans through their music and performances. They are a three- piece that give electric live sets and mean every word they sing and every beat they play. Finally three, Elder Island have become the trio not to ignore. Their music is one you should listen too.

Don't forget their tour this year because you will want to see electric guitar, keyboard, bass, cello, synth notes, simple but prominate beats and a unique sound, being played, which makes Elder Island who they are. A pop and techno trio who have had the support from BBC Introducing, BBC6 Music and got 'Welcome State' to play on BBC Radio 1 Show.

As these lyrics are being sung  "When your older. When your older. When your older.... Oooooo" in 'Welcome State', electrical synth notes are being played in the background whilst slow beats are continuous within the song.

Do follow them on social media and check out their website.
